The AJCU EAO Welcomes Fr. Florge Sy, SJ

April 2009—Fr. Florge Sy, SJ was elected as the new President of the Loyola College of Culion. Fr. Florge was ordained on 9 April 2005 at the Oratory of St. Ignatius, Loyola School of Theology, Ateneo de Manila University. He has been assigned to Palawan ever since and is still actively involved in the local Parish.

Fr. Florge and Fr. Javy Alpasa, a newly-ordained Jesuit Priest, are now helming the Loyola College of Culion. They are further developing the school by offering a new course, Tourism Management, with the help of the Ateneo de Naga University. The Maya Hostel will also be constructed in order to maximize the learning experience of the students as well as expand the school, making it more self-sufficient (the hostel proceeds will support the LCC). They will also be developing over 186 hectares piece of land which is an environmental and eco-tourism sanctuary.

Fr. Florge and his staff would like to ask for your prayers for the development and success of the Loyola College of Culion.
